Due to this, we’ve unfortunately had to delay the timing of our grand prize, a 2 week course in ‘Print, Patterns and Trends’ at The Paris College of Art. This will now take place June-July 2021. The winning print will still feature in our collections, with timing determined in collaboration with our design team.

THE DESIGN BRIEF

The Sophisticated Traveller

Summer at Trenery is all about lightweight fibres and classic silhouettes offering everyday luxury and modernity.

We favour natural linen, cotton and sustainably sourced fabrics when crafting our timeless pieces. We’re looking for a unique and vibrant print that will hero in our collection as a dress and silk scarf.

We’d like to see a modern South African interpretation of the wanderings of a sophisticated summer traveller. The print should be bold and eye-catching, while staying true to Trenery’s ethos of timeless modern simplicity.

“Trenery prints feature a sophisticated combination of colour and attention to detail, with a delicate balance between hand-drawn and contemporary graphics.
We are looking for an inspired summer print with a unique interpretation, drawing from a broad range of influences.”

— TRENERY’S SENIOR TEXTILE DESIGNER, BREE

TOP TIPS

Our colour palette is based in neutral tones of flax,
white and navy with accents of olive green and pink.

We love using animal and ethnic-inspired prints,
